Licenses
This module displays license usage statistics and analytics for HPC environments. It provides insights into software license consumption, usage patterns, and resource utilization across different license features and servers. The module offers both overall analysis and feature-specific views, enabling detailed monitoring of license efficiency and capacity planning.
Overall: Statistics for all licenses combined over the selected time period.
By Feature: Detailed information for one specific selected license.
Overview
Number of features: How many distinct type of licenses were identified.
Number of tokens: Sum of consumed licences’ tokens across all jobs.
Using time: How many hours licenses were actually in use.
Waiting time: How many hours did jobs requiring a license waited in queue.
Total jobs: How many jobs used at least one of the identified license type.
Total users: How many distinct users requested at least a job with one of the identified license type.
Distributions
Token count: Tokens that get consumed when using specific features or processing data.
Token hours: Shows which licenses consume the most computational time by weighing number of token against how long jobs actually ran.
Details table
Individual statistics for each license showing:
License Name: The software license (like Abaqus, Jaguar, Anshpc_pack).
Token count: Total license seats this software used.
Usage (hours): Total computational hours this license was actively used.
Waiting (hours): Total hours jobs requiring a license spent waiting in queue.
Timeline analysis
Available in “By Feature” section for examining individual licenses:
Select specific license from dropdown to view usage over time
Usage changes throughout the selected time period
Peak usage times indicating potential capacity needs
Grouping
Data grouping by any available field for comparing usage across different dimensions:
License fields: Group by license names, servers or other license-specific attributes
Other fields: Group by any other available data fields in the environment
- Example groupings:
License types (All, Anshpc_pack, Fluent, Jaguar, Others)
Users, HPC clusters, partitions, etc.
